Mischief Brew’s debut LP, long out-of-print, has been given a new coat of paint! We've re-released the album on 180 gram vinyl, completely remastered from the original tapes by Carl Saff. “Smash The Windows” is a carnival-punk whirligig, a menagerie of the bizarre combining anarcho-punk with Eastern-European folk, Django-esque swing, Beat-era jazz, Celtic balladry, and straight-up anthemic rebel music that somehow pulls off a mix of The Pogues, Utah Phillips, Chumbawamba, Morphine, Subhumans, Motherhead Bug, Tom Waits, and some kind of dusty fairground organ that you smashed a bottle of whiskey against. Recorded in Brooklyn at Vibromonk Studios in 2004 by Danny Shatzky and Tamir Muskat (Firewater, Gogol Bordello), this is more of a musical soundtrack, with characters and settings, than a traditional punk record. It also features a slew of guest appearances by members of Balkan Beat Box, World/Inferno Friendship Society, Leftover Crack, The Citywide Specials, and more. Includes a digital download of the album, plus unreleased outtakes.

The classic folk/punk split that started it all. Released in 2003 by Art Of The Underground Records and long out-of-print, a box of CDs was recently discovered and now here they are for a cheap price. What can we say about this? If you were around in the early 2000s and couch-surfed at various punkhouses, there was a good chance this was on a CD player in the kitchen. But if you weren't around, here's a time capsule, a passage into a time when you had to explain to punks what a mandolin was. This is youthful, optimistic, at times cheesy... and so important to our story. We owe a lot to this unique release. A mostly acoustic album, with each artist doing songs about their relative hometowns. Check it out!
Limited to 27, hand-numbered, and signed by the artist (JXRXKX)! These were printed back when the single came out. We sold all but eight of them at shows, so here they are... once they're gone, they're gone!

They are professionally DIY-printed (by Printed Matter in Portland, OR) on non-sweatshop T's (Royal Apparel), and are double-sided with the dates on the back. Once they're gone, that's it! If you don't see your size, that means we don't have any left, sorry!
These 17 youth-large T-shirts have been in our garage for a while. They are so sad in there, in a box. Maybe someone would like to give one a home on their back for a nice price!

One of the classic designs, ye olde "Up The Pugs." Please note that this shirt is black ink on a DARK PINE GREEN SHIRT. That was the point though. So, the design is more subtle, hard to see, etc.

About this record:
In a former church way outside of Philadelphia, Mischief Brew recorded "The Stone Operation" loud and fast on tour-battered gear, fiercely strummed banjos, and trashy drum kits more suited for a fairground organ. All the flare of past recordings is there: junk percussion, drunken mandolin-playing, grotesque imagery in a lyric book that strangely resembles an early edition of “Grimm’s Household Tales.” But those are just spices and ornaments, not the main dish - and the main course on “The Stone Operation” is raging hot.

These songs were recorded mostly in 2002 in one long marathon session, and split between those two releases. Now, they have been put back together once and for all, to create what many consider to be the first Mischief Brew full-length.
All the songs have been completely remastered from the original analog tapes, wrapped in new artwork with song illustrations, lyrics, etc.
